About Us

Mission Statement

The mission of the DuPage Business Council is to promote prosperity & opportunity for citizens & businesses through Republican principles and leadership in DuPage County

The History

Formed to maintain the quality of life in DuPage County. For over 140 years, enlightened Republican leadership has made DuPage County a great place to live, raise a family, and run a business. Republican leadership has made DuPage county an attractive place to live and work, with great schools, beautiful forest preserves and open spaces, thriving economy, good roads, and safe friendly communities.

The Present

With the changing demographics of the county, new voters have mixed party loyalties or prefer the “independent” label. With this trend, and the recent strength and attention provided to the Democrats, it becomes apparent that Republican ways of old become fond memories

The Council

The DBC is a new and exciting approach to educate, encourage, and energize the Republican base along with new and independent voters who share our message of opportunity and optimism for DuPage County and Illinois.

A new approach to break free of the old formula. The mission is defined enough to be achievable, yet meaningful enough to make a difference

A spirit of true outreach and engagement for the timeless principles of Republican philosophies Accountability for results of resources invested

A new independent organization that works closely and complements the DuPage GOP but is also accountable to its investors for its defined measures of success.

To support our mission, the long Term Goals of the Council are as follows

  • Affirm our Republican principles and communicate them to new voters and citizens moving into the county
  • Maintain a Republican majority at all levels of leadership in Dupage County
  • Attract the personal and financial support of new groups into party activities to expand the reach of the party and its principles in leadership
  • Support the DuPage GOP efforts to recruit quality candidates, future party leaders and volunteers
  • Support Republican candidates through education and coaching; and provide access to information and assist with successful approaches to win election and be effective while in office
  • Provide a long term orientation for the DuPage Gop, with accountability to provide results for the council members and investors
  • Liase with other GOP leadership in government and in other Republican organizations to provide more coordinated support of the goals above and for legislative & regulatory agendas that benefit the people of DuPage.

Our Interest

Our interest is not in raising money for candidates directly, but in creating the infrastructure and long term orientation that positions the party and its candidates to succeed in DuPage County for years to come.

Testimonials

“Fantastic! The only word that can describe the recent meeting put on by the DuPage Business Council for the elected officials, candidates and GOP Party leaders. From the information presented to them at the meeting many candidates returned to their respective districts armed with a new strategy that will guide them to victory in November.

DuPage County is the most valuable asset the Illinois Republican Party has to get the GOP slate over the finish line come November. With the continued help and assistance of the DuPage Business Council we can reach that goal. On behalf of those who have been educated by your efforts, thank you.”

Patrick Durante
Addison Township Republican Chairman

"Our local business community is at the heart of any effort to reenergize our economy and create new jobs. Sadly, many political leaders in Washington and Springfield portray private industry as the problem, rather than the solution, to our economic ills. Government continues to place a greater burden on business through higher taxes and more mandates. It's crucial that the business community work cooperatively to advance an agenda based on free market principles. This is the only way in which our national, state and local economy can begin to thrive again.

The DuPage Business Council is a key partner in our collective effort as Republicans to protect the vitality of the private sector. I"m appreciative of the opportunity to work with the DuPage Business Council and I rely on its members for advice on a variety of business issues. Through ongoing engagement in the political process, the business community can have a positive impact on state and local policies. This is a critical time for anyone involved in the private sector. The dedicated members of the DuPage Business Council are a necessary voice on behalf of everyone invested in our business community."
