Our Principles

We Believe

The private sector is better at creating economic growth than the government, and that each individual deserves the right to freedom of choice in their economic decisions, to pursue the kind of work they want, to buy the products and services they want, without government dictating to them how to run their lives.

A Healthy Business Community is Essential to the American Dream

Core foundations of a healthy business environment include adherence to free market principles (proven over time to be the best way to sustain innovation and economic growth); fair laws equally applied & enforced; a highly trained & educated work force; solid civil infrastructure; and fair & limited taxation that reward individual incentive, entrepreneurism and hard work.

Limited & Transparent Government

At the core of our constitution is a limited government. Smaller government also means lower taxes and more economic growth.

Entrepreneurism is Rooted in Opportunity & Self Reliance

Conditions need to be maintained such that hard working people have equal opportunities in their pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. Based on their merits and performance, they can enjoy the fruits of their efforts. We need to return to a culture of self reliance.

Personal Accountability & Ethics

Ultimately, people are responsible for their behavior. It is the responsibility that each individual bears to enjoy the liberties and opportunities in a free country. Everyone should be equal before the law. Government officials must be held accountable for their actions. Government in Illinois and across the nation needs more transparency so we can see how well government officials are doing their jobs. The people we elect are responsible to us, the taxpayers, not unions, big corporations, or special interest groups.

Testimonials

“Fantastic! The only word that can describe the recent meeting put on by the DuPage Business Council for the elected officials, candidates and GOP Party leaders. From the information presented to them at the meeting many candidates returned to their respective districts armed with a new strategy that will guide them to victory in November.

DuPage County is the most valuable asset the Illinois Republican Party has to get the GOP slate over the finish line come November. With the continued help and assistance of the DuPage Business Council we can reach that goal. On behalf of those who have been educated by your efforts, thank you.”

Patrick Durante
Addison Township Republican Chairman

"Our local business community is at the heart of any effort to reenergize our economy and create new jobs. Sadly, many political leaders in Washington and Springfield portray private industry as the problem, rather than the solution, to our economic ills. Government continues to place a greater burden on business through higher taxes and more mandates. It's crucial that the business community work cooperatively to advance an agenda based on free market principles. This is the only way in which our national, state and local economy can begin to thrive again.

The DuPage Business Council is a key partner in our collective effort as Republicans to protect the vitality of the private sector. I"m appreciative of the opportunity to work with the DuPage Business Council and I rely on its members for advice on a variety of business issues. Through ongoing engagement in the political process, the business community can have a positive impact on state and local policies. This is a critical time for anyone involved in the private sector. The dedicated members of the DuPage Business Council are a necessary voice on behalf of everyone invested in our business community."
